Mechanical Timing Chain Tensioner

Performance and racing. Our mechanical tensioner replaces the factory hydraulic tensioner to provide a more positive and constant tension on the timing chain (less chance for valves to hit pistons where clearances are tight). We use these on all our race and high performance motors, but it can also be used to replace worn factory units. Note: It is best to check the tension often - mechanical tensioners are not recommended for those who think they can simply install it and ignore it.
